Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a driven and enthusiastic analyst to play a pivotal role in enhancing our core data and research offerings related to Energy Transition. As we continually refine and broaden our product range, this position will significantly contribute to our product innovation efforts in North America. Our products are built on a foundation of substantial factual data, complemented by advanced in-house data management systems and forecasting tools that simulate the physical and market dynamics of global energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on topics pertinent to our products, focusing on the decarbonization of industries and other challenging sectors, advancements in CCUS and Hydrogen technologies, as well as supply and demand assessments specifically targeting the U.S. and Canadian markets.
- Establish and maintain detailed databases that provide factual drivers essential for the development of CCUS and Hydrogen solutions.
- Assist in the enhancement of Global Energy Systems models.
- Engage in communication and collaboration with team members across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.
- Participate in the analysis of Rystad Energy data to create the factual foundation for regular reports and research notes focused on CCUS, Hydrogen, and related energy topics (such as bioenergy, synthetic fuels, and carbon markets).
- Contribute to management consulting initiatives within the energy transition sector on an as-needed basis.
Desired Qualifications:
- A university degree in fields such as Engineering, Sustainability, Chemicals, Hydrogen, CCUS, General Energy, Economics, Mathematics, or Physics.
- 2-3 years of experience in the energy sector is preferred, although recent graduates with relevant internship experience will also be considered.
- A strong analytical mindset coupled with robust critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- A genuine passion for the energy sector, particularly in clean technology and emerging energy solutions.
- Proactive, independent, open-minded, and innovative.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in the core Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook).
- Experience with Power BI is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with Python and/or SQL is beneficial, though not mandatory for this role.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
