The Hydrogen Locomotive Project Analyst will be instrumental in facilitating projects within Rail Technology by effectively sourcing and acquiring all essential materials and components necessary for the development of advanced hydrogen locomotives. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to guarantee the timely and cost-efficient procurement of premium materials that adhere to our rigorous sustainability standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, finance, etc.) to comprehend project specifications and ensure procurement strategies are in line with project objectives.
  • Generate and oversee purchase requisitions, RFPs/RFQs, assess proposals, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier partnerships.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, innovations, and regulations concerning fueling infrastructure and energy procurement.
  • Assess and monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to agreements and quality benchmarks.
  • Initiate cost-reduction strategies and identify opportunities for enhancing processes within the procurement domain.
  • Compile and present reports on procurement activities, market evaluations, and supplier performance to management.
  • Educate, qualify, and maintain a solid understanding of railroad operations safety.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate governance standards throughout the procurement process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project/materials management, particularly in sourcing and managing suppliers for transportation and/or infrastructure initiatives. Experience in the energy sector or fueling infrastructure is highly beneficial.
  • Strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to comprehend market dynamics and legal regulations in the railway and technology sector.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Dedication to sustainability and a solid understanding of sustainable procurement principles.
