Role Overview

As an Azure Administrator, you will oversee the management and operation of a scalable and high-performance cloud infrastructure utilizing Azure and Office 365 technologies. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the organization's applications and infrastructure, ensuring they align with CDIC's strategic objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering and maintaining Azure services and Office 365 applications.
  • Implementing and overseeing cloud security measures.
  • Integrating new applications into the cloud environment.
  • Providing training and support to staff interacting with cloud systems.
  • Conducting necessary migrations to enhance cloud capabilities.
  • Managing virtualization technologies for optimal server performance.
  • Recommending best practices to improve cloud performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Evaluating technical risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Creating documentation and technical procedures for user support.
  • Regularly assessing cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with IT security to ensure data privacy in cloud systems.
  • Responding promptly to technical issues with professionalism.
  • Overseeing the virtual server environment, including disaster recovery systems.
  • Monitoring network performance and making necessary adjustments.
  • Supporting the deployment of corporate applications using various techniques.
  • Providing expertise in storage infrastructure technologies.
  • Assisting with new IT projects through research and recommendations.
  • Being available for after-hours support and travel as needed.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, communicative, and possess a strong technical background. Key qualifications include:

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in networking, directory services, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with cloud engineering principles and enterprise infrastructure solutions.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Essential Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with significant experience in Microsoft Azure and related technologies, is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of cloud architectures and be comfortable with scripting languages for deployment and management.

Security Clearance

Eligibility to obtain a Secret level security clearance is necessary for this position.
