About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Supervisor to join our team at WEST HILL FINISHING & CARPENTRY LTD. as a key member of our carpentry department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and lead a team of 5-10 carpenters, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and schedule activities, oversee apprenticeship training, and estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, and that the work site is safe and secure.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit and hire new team members, and provide training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, noisy.
  • Work Setting: Construction, maintenance, repair, commercial, furniture manufacturing company.
