We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Supervisor to join our team at WEST HILL FINISHING & CARPENTRY LTD.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our carpentry team, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of carpentry team members
  • Prepare and manage production reports
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and development
  • Recruit and hire new team members
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure team members have the necessary skills
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Set up equipment and ensure it is in good working order
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Recommend personnel actions to management
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
  • Requisition materials and supplies as needed
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
