About the Role

Rising Finishing & Carpentry Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Carpentry Assistant to join our team. As a Carpentry Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our carpentry team in the completion of various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: No formal degree or certification is required, but a willingness to learn and train on the job is essential.
  • Work Experience: We will provide on-the-job training to ensure you have the necessary skills to excel in this role.
  • Work Site Environment: As a Carpentry Assistant, you will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and may be exposed to dusty environments.
  • Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
    • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
    • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, under the supervision of experienced personnel.
    • Support the framing of houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
    • Level earth to fine grade specifications, using specialized equipment and techniques.
    • Clean and pile salvaged materials, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently.
    • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
    • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, under the guidance of experienced operators.
  • Work Terms and Conditions:
    • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular 35-hour workweek.
    • Work Language: English.
