Talent Acquisition Team Leader
Our client is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Team Leader to enhance their recruitment efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding, mentoring, and supporting the Talent Acquisition team while ensuring effective recruitment practices.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

Talent Acquisition Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to offer strategic advice on recruitment and advertising to attract a diverse candidate pool.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including:
    • creating job postings,
    • managing job advertisements across various platforms,
    • developing screening criteria,
    • distributing resumes to hiring managers,
    • coordinating interview schedules,
    • collecting and summarizing interview feedback,
    • conducting pre-employment checks,
    • drafting offer letters,
    • finalizing recruitment files.
  • Participate in interview panels, providing insights on best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Review salary recommendations and placements for final approval.
  • Ensure adherence to Collective Agreements and relevant policies.
  • Educate hiring managers on effective recruitment strategies.
  • Enhance the candidate and employee experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for future recruitment needs.
  • Utilize technology platforms to strengthen the employer brand.
  • Effectively leverage LinkedIn Recruiter to identify and engage passive candidates.
  • Report recruitment metrics to leadership on a regular basis.
  • Manage inquiries through the Careers shared mailbox promptly.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address gaps.
  • Maintain and update recruitment templates and resources.
  • Work with management to develop and implement new recruitment tools and processes.
  • Propose and test innovative ideas to improve recruitment projects.
  • Engage in HR process improvement initiatives actively.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Provide guidance and support on various talent acquisition matters.
  • Lead and mentor a team of recruitment professionals, fostering their development.
  • Set clear objectives aligned with business needs and development plans.
  • Promote a culture of high-quality service and support.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of recruitment processes for quality assurance.
  • Manage team workloads and priorities effectively.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to share insights and facilitate growth.
  • Develop performance goals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Recognize team members' contributions meaningfully.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvements and talent management projects.
  • Assist in resolving team issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Address client concerns while supporting the Talent Acquisition team.
Leadership in Talent Acquisition Functions
  • Establish and maintain recruitment policies and practices.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and metrics to ensure data accuracy.
  • Create training materials to enhance hiring leaders' recruitment skills.
  • Facilitate sessions on best practices in talent acquisition.
  • Participate in relevant working groups and committees.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture Leadership Team on strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and recruitment target development.
  • Lead programs to enhance employer branding and value proposition.
  • Conduct industry research and prepare relevant reports.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in recruitment.
Your strengths include:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • An undergraduate degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
  • Preferred Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation.
  • CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles and recruitment processes.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR software.
