Position Overview
We are seeking a committed individual to take on the role of a Talent Acquisition Specialist within our Human Resources division at Supported Lifestyles Ltd. This position is pivotal in identifying and securing outstanding candidates to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will collaborate closely with the HR Manager and engage in various recruitment initiatives and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, screening, and interviewing prospective candidates
- Conducting reference checks and validating employment history
- Assessing staffing requirements and proposing hiring strategies
- Evaluating hiring metrics to efficiently fill vacancies
- Presenting recruitment analytics during management meetings
- Keeping abreast of employment laws and regulations
- Updating staff on recruitment progress
- Creating job advertisements and recruitment collateral
- Participating in career fairs and seeking new recruitment avenues
- Designing and delivering recruitment training programs
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources
- Experience in HR specialization is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of provincial employment legislation
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure
- Self-driven with a proactive mindset
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
