The Opportunity

Our client, a leading supplier of process and analytical instrumentation, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to cover the key BC territory. This employee-owned company has grown significantly by providing excellent customer experience and is now expanding its team to support continued growth.

The successful candidate will be a sales professional with a technical background, ideally in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or a related discipline. This person will enjoy travelling to customer sites to build relationships, provide solutions to, and close sales with our clients' large install base. They will also seek opportunities to expand within existing clients and acquire new ones.

On offer is a generous compensation package with vehicle allowance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and presenting technical presentations to the existing and potential customer base
  • Working independently in the territory to cultivate and foster business growth
  • Utilizing the CRM for scheduling, opportunities, and project management
  • Working directly with Product Managers and Manufacturer Regional Managers to promote products throughout the territory
  • Travelling overnight to out of town accounts
  • Developing relationships within the territory
  • Other sales and service related tasks as necessary
Requirements
  • Qualification such as an IET or greater
  • Dynamic personality that enjoys social situations and networking with industry professionals
  • Experience with flow and or analytical instrumentation a strong asset
  • An existing network within industrial customers in the territory and their buying requirements
  • Ideally 5+ years in outside sales
