Position Overview:

FOP CONSULTANTS is actively seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong drive to expand our presence in the Medical Devices sector. This role is essential for understanding client needs and crafting tailored service proposals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the medical devices industry and will play a pivotal role in identifying market opportunities and challenges, managing consulting teams, and achieving set objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties include:

  • Engaging potential clients to promote the firm's services and serving as the main liaison;
  • Assessing client requirements to propose customized solutions and facilitating tender processes;
  • Formulating and executing market development strategies while tracking performance indicators;
  • Evaluating organizational strengths and weaknesses alongside market opportunities and threats to maintain a competitive edge;
  • Building technical expertise in the sector and providing essential support;
  • Recruiting and leading consulting teams under your guidance;
  • Overseeing consultant projects with clients and intervening as needed;
  • Achieving and surpassing objectives while fostering positive client relationships;
  • Participating in regular meetings to discuss results and requirements;
  • Executing all other tasks pertinent to the role.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Marketing;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Science (preferred);
  • 1 to 10 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in the agri-food sector;
  • Background in business development, marketing, or sales (preferred);
  • Experience in managing diverse teams (preferred);
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans to meet objectives;
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings;
  • Project management experience (preferred);
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 regulations;
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project (preferred);
  • Strong writing skills in both French and English;
  • Fluency in both languages (preferred);
  • Valid class 5 driver's license (preferred);
  • Willingness to travel as required.
