Your Responsibilities

  • Engage in diverse projects concerning Building and Fire Code services, ensuring compliance and effective application of codes.
  • Oversee project staffing, financial management, and successful delivery of services.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, providing expert consultation on assigned projects.
  • Conduct site visits and participate in meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Analyze architectural drawings and propose alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and proposals efficiently.
  • Set and manage client expectations regarding quality and timelines.
  • Perform peer reviews of ongoing projects for various clients.
  • Allocate resources and staff to ensure timely project completion.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Identify business development opportunities and contribute to marketing initiatives.

Your Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Building Code Engineering or Consulting for a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and institutional.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (Part 3), National Building Code (NBC), and Fire Codes (NFC & NFPA).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and varying workloads effectively.
  • Proficient in building positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Eligibility to obtain government security clearance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
