Design-Build Project Management Specialist

SAJO is a leading construction and project management firm specializing in interior retail construction. We also offer comprehensive retail fixture solutions, including value engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, and rollout management on an international scale.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Design-Build Project Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert insights into the constructability of projects, proposing cost-effective solutions and variations in design and materials.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Support the bid process by assisting with document preparation and review.
  • Evaluate tenders received and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Negotiate and award contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms.
  • Coordinate all project team members, establish production schedules, and adapt them to reflect changes, backlogs, or delays.
  • Manage budget compliance and oversee all financial aspects of the project, including contracts, purchase orders, billing inquiries, change orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Monitor work progress to ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain constant communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding project advancement.
  • Analyze shop drawings and data sheets to identify requests for information (RFIs) and update project documentation in Procore.
  • Coordinate production and shipping activities, ensuring schedules are respected by tracking the receipt of components produced, received, and shipped.
  • Prepare and document essential project information, including production schedules, purchase orders, vendor quotes, packing slips, transportation details, delays, changes, and other relevant data.
  • Assist with unit handover, job closure, and post-project analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Professional fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Procore (Project Management Software), and Bluebeam software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, client-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented.
