Job Summary

SAJO, a leading general contractor and project management firm, is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator - Design Build to join our team. As a key member of our design-build team, you will be responsible for providing constructability insights, proposing cost-effective solutions, and developing cooperative working relationships with clients and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing the bid process, review, and prepare bid documents. Evaluate tenders when received and prepare cost breakdowns.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate/award contracts with respective vendors, coordinate production schedules, and revise schedules to reflect changes, backlogs, or delays.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing budget compliance and processing all financial aspects of the project, including contracts, purchase orders, billing inquiries, change orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Quality Control: Monitor work progress to assess compliance with quality standards and ensure constant communication with internal and external stakeholders on project progression.
  • Documentation: Prepare and document production, purchase orders, vendor quotes, packing slips, transportation schedules, delays, changes, and other information related to the project.
Requirements
  • Education: BAC or DEC in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology, or any related education.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Language: Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and knowledge of AutoCAD, Procore (Project Management Software), and Bluebeam software is considered an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be flexible, client-centered, proactive, and solution-oriented.
