Senior Project Manager

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Project Manager is tasked with overseeing a portfolio of capital expenditure (CAPEX) investment initiatives that align with the strategic and operational objectives of the organization.

Main Responsibilities

Engage with various stakeholders to pinpoint imminent operational requirements necessitating CAPEX investments, assess their criticality and priorities, and provide preliminary cost and feasibility evaluations.Assume full accountability for executing the portfolio within established timelines and budget constraints while fulfilling stakeholder expectations. The Senior Project Manager is also expected to adjust project priorities as operational demands shift. The portfolio may encompass 10 to 20 projects amounting to significant financial investments. Projects are categorized into areas such as: Health, Safety and Environment, Quality and Regulatory Compliance, Cost Improvement, Product Innovation, and Equipment Replacement.Leverage external engineering expertise to define, develop, and implement individual projects effectively.Serve as a consultant to other stakeholders (scheduling, management, safety, maintenance, operations, quality) to address challenges they may face.Maintain close collaboration and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, which is essential for success.Exhibit the ability to navigate ambiguity, demonstrate adaptability, make swift decisions, and conduct return on investment (ROI) analyses to substantiate investment decisions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Registered with the relevant engineering order.PMP certification is advantageous.Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required, as most interactions with external stakeholders will occur in English. Must possess negotiation skills and be capable of engaging in complex discussions.Proven experience of 4-5 years in executing multidisciplinary CAPEX projects within a multi-party environment, preferably in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical sectors.Experience in infrastructure projects will be beneficial (building, ammonia, compressed air, steam, water).Strong acumen for business investments.

Work Schedule and Location

Daytime position, Monday to Friday.Telecommuting is not an option for this role; daily presence at the facility is required.
