About the Role

The Senior Project Manager is a key member of the Engineering team, responsible for delivering a portfolio of CAPEX investment projects that support the strategic and operational plan of the Mont-Royal plant and Canadian business unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple stakeholders to develop operational needs requiring CAPEX investments, determine criticality and priorities, preliminary costs, and feasibility estimates.
  • Take full responsibility for delivering their portfolio on time and within budget, while meeting stakeholder expectations. The Senior Project Manager is also expected to reprioritize their portfolio as operational needs evolve.
  • Manage a portfolio of 10-20 projects, with a total value of millions of dollars. Projects are categorized as follows:
    • Health, Safety, and Environment
    • Quality and Regulatory Compliance
    • Cost Improvement
    • Product Innovation
    • Equipment Replacement
  • Utilize external engineering resources to define, develop, and implement individual projects.
  • Act as a consultant to other stakeholders (hourly, managers, security, maintenance, operations, quality) to resolve situations they face.
  • Work closely and effectively with all stakeholders throughout all phases of their projects, which will be key to their success.
  • Be able to face ambiguity, adaptability, high-speed decision-making, and formulate cost-benefit analyses to justify investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Registered with the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ).
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French. Most interactions with external stakeholders will be in English. You must be able to negotiate and participate in complex conversations.
  • Demonstrated experience of 4-5 years in implementing CAPEX multidisciplinary projects in a multipartite environment.
  • Preferably in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry (asset).
  • Experience in infrastructure will be an asset (building, ammonia, compressed air, steam, water).
  • Keen sense of business investments.

Work Schedule and Location

  • This is a daytime position, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: 8600 Chemin Devonshire, Mt-Royal, H4P 2K9.
  • The ability to work from home is not possible for this position. Daily presence at the plant is mandatory.
