Job Summary:

The Cellular Sales Representative is responsible for supervising the retail sales of goods and services offered at BearCom. This individual also identifies new markets and business opportunities while maximizing profitability and growth in cellular and GPS/AVL equipment sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Lead and direct a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets
  • Assist in the development and implementation of advertising and marketing plans
  • Provide support for the performance improvement and professional development of all sales team members
  • Assist in merchandizing efforts by displaying and demonstrating products and accessories effectively
  • Provide timely feedback to the Sales Manager regarding sales performance
  • Review pricing and sales reports submitted by sales team members to verify accuracy
  • Assist sales team members in preparation of quotes and presentations
  • Conduct regular coaching and counseling with sales team members to build motivation and selling skills
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, and emails
  • Negotiate the terms of agreements and close sales
  • Gather market and customer information to know what the competition is doing
  • Represent BearCom at trade shows, events, and demonstrations
  • Negotiate variations in price, delivery, and specifications with managers
  • Build and maintain the BearCom price list
  • Advise customers and other staff on forthcoming product developments and special promotions
  • Check quantities of goods on display on the showroom floor, replenishing stocks from the stock room as needed
  • Acknowledge customers in the waiting area right away
  • Answer customer phone calls in a prompt manner
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns related to phone operation and features
  • Assess and resolve customer requests to return or exchange products purchased at BearCom
  • Liaise with the purchasing department to check on the progress of existing orders
  • Record sales and order information using both online and manual processes
  • Audit sales incentive programs to verify numbers recorded reflect actual sales receipts
  • Complete classroom and online training, including WebEx seminars, to stay abreast of new features and products as they are being introduced
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
  • Conduct rate plan optimizations with customers to ensure their plan offers the best value for their calling patterns
  • Make accurate, timely cost calculations, and provide customers with quotations
  • Research new developments in communications technology in order to feed future buying trends back to the sales manager
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace and showroom
  • Participate in monthly sales meetings
  • Perform other duties as delegated by the Retail Sales Manager

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of cellular sales experience required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must have demonstrated ability to lead and direct a results-driven sales team
  • Must be able to analyze customers' needs and offer effective solutions
  • Must be able to work successfully in a competitive sales environment
  • Must be able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively
  • Must have problem-solving skills and be able to make decisions quickly
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Must have good communication skills, both oral and written, and be detailed-oriented
  • Must be professional, helpful, and courteous
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize work assignments
