Durham College is currently in search of a qualified and enthusiastic professional who shares our dedication to quality education and student achievement. The Professional and Part-Time Learning (PPL) department requires a part-time facilitator to instruct the following online courses:

  • Supply Chain Management
  • Career Development for SCM Professionals
  • SCM Planning and Scheduling
  • SCM Execution & Control
  • Integrated SCM

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Fostering an inclusive learning environment that respects students' diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
  2. Applying adult education principles to actively engage students in the learning experience.
  3. Utilizing educational technologies effectively to enhance learning and manage grading.
  4. Designing curriculum that incorporates suitable strategies and tools for assessing student progress.
  5. Ensuring all course materials are up-to-date and relevant.
  6. Demonstrating initiative and working independently.
  7. Collaborating effectively with students, program teams, and various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience directly related to the subject matter.
  2. A Master's degree (or higher) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related business field; a Bachelor or Master of Education is advantageous.
  3. Experience teaching at the post-secondary level or in a business context, demonstrating knowledge of adult education principles.
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities and critical thinking capabilities.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  6. A proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  7. Proficiency in utilizing technology to support student learning and manage assessments.
  8. A self-motivated and independent worker who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  9. A commitment to lifelong learning.
  10. An understanding of the Ontario community college system.

Preference will be given to candidates with relevant educational qualifications and a demonstrated history of applicable work or teaching experience.
