Position: Legal Assistant - Tax
Location: Linds & Associates
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative assistance to tax law clerks in their dynamic practices.
  • Facilitate the completion of record books and maintain a systematic tickler system for important deadlines.
  • Assist in the development of corporate charts utilizing PowerPoint.
  • Ensure the accuracy and currency of corporate information within the CorpLink database.
  • Manage minute books and general filing tasks.
  • Update corporate registers and ledgers to reflect the latest information.
  • Deliver high-quality work consistently.
  • Handle daily administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Oversee accounting-related duties.
  • Take ownership of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Exhibit initiative in all tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience, preferably in tax or corporate law.
  • Successful completion of a relevant post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program.
  • Able to thrive under time constraints and manage multiple demands effectively.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
  • Familiarity with corporate databases is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
