The Mechatronics, Mirrors, and Lighting division is at the forefront of automotive innovation, specializing in advanced technologies that redefine mobility. Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled financial professional to take on the role of Assistant Plant Controller at Magna Autosystems in Belleville, ON.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting functions within the Autosystems division
- Manage bank transactions and perform reconciliations
- Lead the month-end closing process
- Handle General Ledger activities including interfacing and posting
- Maintain the Chart of Accounts
- Conduct inventory reconciliations
- Track and forecast weekly expenses
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Perform various account reconciliations
- Prepare weekly/monthly scrap and efficiency reports
- Forecast accounts payable and receivable
- Engage in regular communication with management regarding financial issues
- Execute additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Commerce
- Professional accounting designation or nearing completion (CPA) is essential
- Three to five years of accounting experience, ideally within the automotive sector
- Supervisory experience is advantageous
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel; advanced Excel skills are a plus
- Flexibility in working hours is required
