Position Overview:

The IT End User Services division is seeking a dedicated individual to enhance our Service Desk team. This team acts as the primary point of contact for staff seeking IT assistance, focusing on resolving incidents, managing problems, and addressing requests efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and prioritize requests directed to the IT team through various channels including phone, email, and the ServiceNow portal.
  2. Provide Level 1 and 1.5 support to end users, encompassing:
  • Installation and removal of software
  • Troubleshooting Operating System (Windows 10) and hardware issues
  • Printer configuration
  • Assistance with enterprise-wide tools such as Office 365
  • Remote support via TeamViewer and SCCM
  • Participation in after-hours on-call support on a rotating schedule
  • Support in managing and tracking hardware and software assets

Qualifications:

  1. Completion of a College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  3. Proficient time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and tickets simultaneously.
  4. Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal abilities.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to communicate solutions effectively to non-technical staff.
  7. Experience documenting recurring issues related to problems and incidents.
  8. Familiarity with ServiceNow as a ticketing system.
  9. Working knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 enterprise environments.
  10. Understanding of the M365 toolset (e.g., Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
  11. Knowledge of Group Policy structure is advantageous.
  12. Basic understanding of ITIL processes.
  13. Fluency in both English and French is essential.
