Role Overview:
The IT End User Services division is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Service Desk team, serving as the primary contact point for staff inquiries directed to the IT department. The team's primary objective is to address incidents, resolve issues, and manage requests efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and prioritize requests directed to the IT team through various channels.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 1.5 support to end users, including but not limited to:
- Installation and removal of software
- Resolution of Operating System (Windows 10) and hardware-related issues
- Printer configuration and troubleshooting
- Assistance with enterprise-wide tools such as Office 365
- Remote support for users via remote access tools
- Participate in after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis
- Support asset management and tracking for hardware and software resources
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical staff.
- Experience documenting processes related to incidents and problems.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow as a ticketing platform.
- Understanding of Windows 7 and Windows 10 enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of the M365 suite, including Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
- Basic understanding of Group Policy is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
- Fluency in both English and French is essential.
