Infrastructure Support Specialist

Telesat is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and specialist expertise in the operation of our Corporate Servicedesk.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to employees worldwide, troubleshooting and resolving incidents and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the IT Operations team to ensure seamless delivery of IT services, including hardware and software support, network and security management, and application maintenance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials to support technical staff and end-users.
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT service management processes and procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Work closely with senior staff and corporate technology groups to resolve complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution of priority support issues.
- Technical diploma and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience providing support in a similar environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and associated software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and scheduling work as necessary to maintain department standards and service level agreements.
- Bilingual (French/English) and US work authorization are nice-to-haves.
- Generally comfortable working conditions with lifting and onsite installations.
- Moderate visual concentration in use of video display terminal.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
