We're seeking a skilled Capital Collections Specialist to join our Capital and Payments team in Montreal. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for contacting merchants with overdue account balances and negotiating repayment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding for customers' situations, needs, and offer solutions.
  • Perform outbound calls to collect on overdue Capital advance accounts by negotiating repayment plans with customers.
  • Support operations by managing customer overdue accounts and collection activities.
  • Manage accounts receivables by ensuring exceptional execution results in the collection of our financial loans.
  • Document collections activities and processes through superior administration skills.
  • Professionally negotiate with consumers and explore money sources to determine the best possible arrangement.
  • Issue dunning letters.
  • Refer to a collection agency when all other in-house collection techniques have been attempted.

What You'll Need:

We're a team of 8 people located in North America and Europe. If you enjoy the art of negotiation, take pride in your ability to communicate well with others, and are familiar with accounting practices, then this is the job for you.

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in collections or a target-driven call centre environment.
  • Experience doing collections for a financial institution (i.e. bank, credit card company, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills in English and in French, written and oral (our customers are bilingual).
