This key position reports to the Credit Manager within our Credit, Collections, and Disputes team. We are a dedicated, down-to-earth group in a growing organization offering plenty of opportunities for professional growth.

As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Initiating contact with business customers to resolve account discrepancies
  • Researching and resolving client billing issues
  • Identifying root causes contributing to account delinquency
  • Reviewing and monitoring assigned accounts and all applicable credit reports
  • Preparing reports for management
  • Providing timely follow-up on payment arrangements and customer inquiries
  • Making recommendations to management regarding whether customers should be placed on hold or sent to collections
  • Researching and resolving customer deductions
  • Maintaining and documenting customer communications
  • Reviewing credit limits for new and existing business accounts

Requirements

You will need to have:

  • Fluency in both English and French, both written and verbal
  • Relevant experience in a commercial, business-to-business (B2B) credit recovery role
  • Attention to detail, along with strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • The ability to analyze financial statements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level or above (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset

We value experience with Dynamics 365 software and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
