Receptionist - Iroquois Falls Family Health Team

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at Iroquois Falls Family Health Team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Greeting and Directing Patients
You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience. You will direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service area.
Providing Administrative SupportYou will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence.
Operating Switchboard and Telephone SystemYou will be responsible for answering and directing phone calls, as well as operating our switchboard and telephone system.
Ordering Office SuppliesYou will be responsible for ordering office supplies and maintaining a well-stocked and organized front desk area.
Recording and Relaying InformationYou will be responsible for recording and relaying important information to patients and healthcare professionals, including test results and appointment reminders.
Scheduling and Confirming AppointmentsYou will be responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments with patients and healthcare professionals.
Performing Clerical DutiesYou will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties, including filing, sorting, and distributing mail.
Answering Telephone and Relaying MessagesYou will be responsible for answering telephone calls and relaying messages to patients and healthcare professionals.
Arranging TeleconferencesYou will be responsible for arranging teleconferences and other virtual meetings as needed.
Providing Customer ServiceYou will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements- Education
A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
Work SettingA health care institution, facility, or clinic.
Computer and Technology KnowledgeElectronic medical records, MS Office, electronic mail, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
Security and SafetyA criminal record check.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThe ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Personal SuitabilityEfficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, a team player, ability to multitask, and time management.
ExperienceExperience is an asset.
