About Cansure

Cansure is the claims management division of our organization, specializing in providing top-tier claims services for our various insurance brands. We manage claims for both domestic and international market partners, ensuring a high standard of service and rapid response to inquiries. Our goal is to streamline the claims process, providing efficient resolutions while maintaining strong relationships with our broker partners.

We are currently in search of a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Property Claims Examiner. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining both in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and determine coverage for Personal, Commercial, and Specialty Lines Property Claims.
  • Examine and interpret reports from various service providers, including adjusters, experts, and legal representatives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to Underwriters on complex claims, including those involving Domestic and Lloyds of London Underwriters.
  • Ensure compliance with company claims protocols and guidelines throughout the claims management process, including the establishment and maintenance of loss and expense reserves.
  • Communicate effectively with Underwriters, Brokers, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, with a comprehensive understanding of policy wordings.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in claims handling, preferably with a focus on Property claims.
  • CIP designation or current enrollment in the CIP Program.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Level 2 Agents License.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000 – $100,000, influenced by the candidate's skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific business line and role level. Cansure is committed to offering competitive compensation packages that include extensive health and dental benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid time off, and potential bonus opportunities.

  • 8-hour shifts.
  • Monday to Friday.

Experience:

  • Claims Handling: 5 years (required).

License/Certification:
