Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Property Claims Intake Specialist (FNOL) to enhance our dynamic team in the West. In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for customers experiencing property loss. Your empathetic approach and strong listening skills will be essential as you guide clients through their claims process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate new claims from customers through a dedicated phone line.
  • Allocate new claims to the appropriate property claims representatives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both external and internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries related to the property claims process.
  • Manage a pending caseload of entry-level property claims, which includes evaluating information, interpreting insurance policy language, determining coverage, assessing damages, and ensuring timely and fair settlements in accordance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Formulate an action plan for investigations by identifying necessary information to clarify and substantiate claims.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation in the system to facilitate seamless transitions between colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or administrative roles.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • Strong passion for customer service with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven and capable of working effectively in a high-pressure setting.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proven negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills and data entry.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • No prior Canadian work experience is required, but candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Compensation:

The salary for this position typically ranges between $44,000 and $66,000, depending on various factors such as prior experience, qualifications, expected contributions to the role, and internal equity.
