About the Role
We are seeking a Property Claims Analyst to enhance our Strategy and Transformation team within the property claims division.
In this role, you will utilize your technical expertise and claims adjusting experience to conduct thorough internal reviews of property claims. Each month, you will analyze data and provide insights to stakeholders. By leveraging your understanding of property claims management and monthly evaluations, you will pinpoint essential strengths and areas for improvement within the property sector.
This position necessitates a minimum of two days per week in an Intact office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly audits of claims files through the Internal File Review program, leakage alerts, and any additional assessments as required.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, coaching needs, and challenge existing practices through well-founded recommendations.
- Analyze and present information in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences within the organization, addressing specific business inquiries and summarizing key issues.
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with various teams within the claims organization, effectively engaging with all levels of leadership.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions with experts from various fields and leadership levels.
- Provide coaching to individuals and teams on technical aspects of property claims handling in both structured and ad-hoc settings.
- Contribute to the development of business practices and tools, as well as departmental initiatives.
- Offer support to the Property teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in claims adjusting for personal and commercial property, with a focus on commercial property.
- Experience with additional lines of business is considered an asset.
- Experience in quality assurance is advantageous.
- CIP designation completed or in progress is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information, influence decisions, and mentor others.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strategic mindset with the capability to drive results and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and persuasion abilities.
- Innovative thinker with a forward-looking approach.
- Proficient in claims systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and think independently.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic business environment.
- Post-secondary education is preferred.
