About the Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Pricing Manager, you will:

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead comprehensive pricing analyses to inform pricing decisions, focusing on maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Design and refine complex pricing models to assess price sensitivity, feature/price trade-offs, and identify opportunities for pricing optimization.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of pricing guidelines, ensuring consistency and standardization across products.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Excellence teams to implement system enhancements and automated quoting capabilities.
  • Establish annual price adjustments, govern discounting practices, and create governance frameworks to maintain consistency across products.
  • Lead pricing support for high-priority strategic initiatives, including pricing overhauls and the introduction of new products & propositions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on the impact of pricing decisions and work cross-functionally to devise and refine pricing metrics to track and improve performance.

Key Competencies

  • An experienced B2B pricing expert with 5+ years in the field, demonstrating a proven track record in price setting and execution in technology-driven industries.
  • A strong passion for mastering pricing strategies and methodologies.
  • An analytical mindset, adept at acquiring, interpreting, and leveraging customer and market insights to inform pricing decisions.
  • A methodical and structured thinker who excels in simplifying complex scenarios and processes.
  • A doer with a bias for action, who thrives on developing and implementing pricing policies to drive business outcomes.
  • Proficient in the deployment and enhancement of pricing and quoting tools, with a focus on driving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to exert influence and drive consensus among various stakeholders, including the ability to engage and persuade senior leaders with clear, compelling narratives and evidence-based analysis.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of 2 pricing managers and 1 analyst towards achieving goals and operational excellence.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of leading complex, cross-functional projects with meticulous attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Keen interest in AI technologies in the industry and proficient using AI tools in the workplace

Additional Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary pricing advisor for the relevant segment, providing strategic insights and recommendations to leadership to inform pricing decisions.
  • Champion the development of best practices in pricing and ensure their adoption across the segment, setting a standard for excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes through the use of advanced analytics, machine learning, and other innovative technologies.

About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Pricing Manager if your background includes:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B pricing, with experience leading a small team, within technology or related industries.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional pricing certification (such as CPP) is a plus.
