Stewardship Specialist
in the realm of Foundation Events.
Position Type: Permanent Full-time

Role Overview:
The Baycrest Foundation plays a vital role in securing funding for the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care. The Foundation engages with donors through direct outreach and various events.
As a Stewardship Specialist within the Major Gifts/Principal Giving team, you will be instrumental in executing a comprehensive stewardship program that aims to surpass donor expectations through effective acknowledgment, recognition, engagement, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design tailored recognition strategies for donors in collaboration with major gift officers, adhering to Foundation standards.
- Implement agreed-upon recognition initiatives, including overseeing the installation of physical acknowledgments and coordinating with vendors.
- Create visual presentations and mock-ups for donors, collaborating with vendors as necessary.
- Manage the production of stewardship reports and other essential donor communications.
- Assist in the creation of the annual report, newsletters, and donor feature stories as required.
- Supervise the execution of Donor Spotlight stories for digital displays in partnership with Major Gifts and Marketing Communications.
- Ensure the accuracy of donor listings for the annual report, Hall of Honour, and all related materials.
- Maintain a stewardship calendar to ensure compliance with recognition timelines.
- Draft and send personalized acknowledgment and stewardship letters.
- Contribute to the annual updates and ongoing maintenance of the Hall of Honour wall and digital displays.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of all gift documentation, including terms, conditions, and donor information.
- A university degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of direct donor engagement experience in the non-profit sector.
- Exceptional writing skills, particularly in the context of fundraising.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Familiarity with principles and techniques pertinent to major gift fundraising.
- Experience working with volunteers is advantageous.
- Proficiency in InDesign and/or Photoshop is a plus.
- Membership in ADRP and/or AFP is beneficial.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Meticulous attention to detail in both data accuracy and creative presentation.
- Ability to work independently and effectively solve problems.
- Excellent multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
