Associate Director, Stewardship and Donor Relations

SickKids Foundation is seeking an exceptional Associate Director, Stewardship and Donor Relations to join our team. As a key member of our Stewardship and Event Services team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies to nurture meaningful relationships with our donors, ensuring their experience is exceptional and their loyalty is unwavering.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a dedicated team of stewardship professionals to deliver programs and services to all business units.
- Oversee stewardship account management, directing work across the team to ensure successful planning and delivery of Impact Reporting and Endowment Reporting for all eligible donors.
- Directly plan and execute stewardship for transformational gifts donors, working collaboratively with senior leadership and teams across the organization to develop and deliver customized donor recognition and stewardship opportunities.
- Manage all donor recognition societies and donor listings, ensuring successful execution of all commitments in written Gift Agreements.
- Support execution of fundraising and engagement programs, such as Innovators, Breakthrough, and WomenPowered, and oversee strategic development of digital and physical recognition opportunities.
- Collaborate with Communications and Public Affairs for promotion and public announcements of significant gifts to the Hospital.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to staff, including career planning, evaluation of performance, succession planning, and mentoring.
- Systematically track and schedule all stewardship and donor recognition requirements, ensuring our Donor Management System (KYDs) is fully utilized by the team.
- Responsibility for development of the annual Stewardship operating plan, budget, and resource planning.
- A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent of relevant experience of at least five in client/donor experience, events, or advancement fields.
- Experience in fundraising is desirable but not required.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Understanding of best practices in stewardship, gift agreements, and donor relations.
- The ability to think at a high level about Hospital and Foundation priorities.
- Work proactively, managing competing priorities.
- Excellent donor and volunteer relations skills, with a keen sense of diplomacy.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
