About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Pension Legal and Plan Administration (PLPA) team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for resolving complex and technical pension administration issues, identifying case trends and knowledge gaps, and leading the improvement of OMERS internal and external pension content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze complex pension inquiries and provide accurate direction and/or resolution.
  • Offer innovative solutions to complex pension issues while ensuring compliance with Plan and Legislative rules.
  • Manage complex member or potential beneficiary escalations through to resolution.
  • Identify process, communication, and pension content gaps and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop clear and well-written reports and supporting documentation for presentations to Senior Management and other audiences.
Requirements
  • University Degree or equivalent with 3+ years relevant pension and/or policy experience.
  • Knowledge of pension plan administration, plan design, and current pension legislation/regulations.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and related data, identify issues, and infer conclusions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in exercising judgment and tactfulness when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
