We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to join our team at The Lake Louise Ski Resort. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our resort's culinary expertise and meet the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our guests.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of cooks, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and efficient.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our food meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
- Cost Control: Manage kitchen expenses and develop strategies to reduce waste and optimize food costs.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that our kitchen meets all health and safety regulations and standards, and that our staff are trained to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of a culinary arts program or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume food service environment.
- Skills: Excellent culinary skills, leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
