About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Lake Louise Ski Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our resort's culinary expertise and meet the diverse tastes of our guests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and efficient.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and taste dishes to ensure that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cost Control: Manage kitchen expenses and develop strategies to reduce waste and improve profitability.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of a culinary arts program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and attention to detail.
