About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Lake Louise Ski Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our resort's culinary expertise and appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and excellence in our dishes.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional service standards and high-quality food production.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of our kitchen team.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met, including HACCP and food handling procedures.
    • Conduct regular kitchen audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce food costs and improve profitability.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their dining experiences are memorable and enjoyable.
    • Respond to guest feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of success in menu planning, food safety, and team leadership.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
