Saskatoon Public Schools stands as the largest educational division in Saskatchewan, catering to over 28,000 learners and employing more than 3,300 professionals and support staff across 47 elementary institutions, 10 secondary institutions, and one partnership school with Whitecap Dakota.

First Nations Engagement and Community Relations, the
Cultural Knowledge Facilitator:
Indigenous Insights plays a pivotal role in integrating Indigenous content and viewpoints within Saskatoon Public Schools, aiming to foster culturally attuned educational settings and enhance student achievement.
The ideal candidate will possess a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to individuals with further post-secondary education. A minimum of two years' experience in a relevant field (such as community organizations or social equity) is required, along with the capability to operate independently without direct oversight.
A comprehensive understanding of Indigenous cultures, languages, histories, traditions, values, and perspectives is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with Elders and Cultural Leaders.
The successful candidate will establish connections with Indigenous and Metis cultural organizations and cultivate positive working relationships with all staff levels within educational institutions, partnership organizations, and Indigenous and Metis families and communities.
The successful candidate will be proficient in their Indigenous language. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are necessary. Intermediate computer proficiency, including email, internet, and Microsoft Office applications, is required. A valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle are also essential.-
