Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Support Services Attendant within our esteemed Support Services Department. This position is crucial in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.
  • Conduct room setups and manage furniture movement.
  • Prepare, assemble, deliver, serve, and store food in patient care and cafeteria areas.
  • Assist in patient transportation within the hospital.
  • Manage the supply flow and transfer equipment.
  • Adhere to all relevant guidelines and standards established by health authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Secondary School Diploma.
  • Experience in healthcare environmental cleaning or food services is preferred.
  • Certification in Cleaning in a Healthcare Environment is an asset.
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate or in the process of obtaining.
  • Food Service Worker Program Certificate is preferred.
  • Annual training in MSD prevention Safe Client and Materials Handling.
  • CPR certification is an advantage.
  • Proven reliability and dependability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks associated with the role.
  • WHMIS Training.
  • Experience operating hydraulic lifts and other equipment is preferred.
  • Successful performance and attendance records are essential.
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
  • Pre-Employment Health Assessment must be completed prior to hiring.

Working Conditions:

This role involves physical demands, including lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, and operating various equipment.

Additional Information:

Working hours will be scheduled according to departmental needs, including weekends on a rotating basis.
