Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Support Services Attendant within our esteemed healthcare facility. This position is vital in ensuring a hygienic and secure environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, including thorough disinfection practices.
  • Assist in the setup and arrangement of rooms, as well as the movement of furniture as needed.
  • Prepare, assemble, deliver, serve, and store food in both patient care and cafeteria areas.
  • Facilitate patient transfers within the hospital, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Manage the supply flow, including receiving and distributing necessary items throughout the facility.
  • Adhere to all relevant guidelines and standards set forth by health authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Secondary School Diploma.
  • Experience in environmental cleaning or food service within a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Certification in Cleaning in a Healthcare Environment is advantageous.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification or in-process of obtaining is required.
  • Food Service Worker Program Certificate is a plus.
  • Annual training in MSD prevention and Safe Client and Materials Handling.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Proven reliability and dependability in previous roles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer operations.
  • Physical capability to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Completion of WHMIS Training.
  • Experience operating hydraulic lifts and other relevant equipment is preferred.
  • Successful performance and attendance record is required.
  • Reference checks and a Police Vulnerable Sector Check are mandatory prior to employment.
  • A Pre-Employment Health Assessment must be completed prior to hiring.

Working Conditions:

This role involves physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and walking, as well as operating various equipment.
