Lead Autism Support Specialist

Phoenix Development Centre is a recognized healthcare organization seeking a Lead Autism Support Specialist. The successful applicant will possess a robust background in special education, data management, patient support, and family coaching. This role entails collaborating with adolescents and their families in various settings. This is a part-time employee position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Engage directly with clients and their families.
  2. Provide guidance to parents on specific objectives as outlined by the Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).
  3. Collaborate with the Registered Behaviour Analyst to evaluate client needs.
  4. Perform comprehensive assessments.
  5. Assist in the modification of individualized client goals.
  6. Collect and analyze data.
  7. Maintain clients' electronic graphing systems.
  8. Relay updates to parents and caregivers regarding client progress as directed by the RBA.
  9. Utilize communication aids as necessary.
  10. Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient records.
  11. Travel to various client locations throughout the designated area.
  12. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. At least three years of experience working with families and teams in community-based settings; experience in center-based environments is a plus.
  2. Background in managing clients with significant behavioral challenges.
  3. Experience working with high-functioning adolescents.
  4. Ability to travel within the city and nearby regions as required.
  5. Degree or diploma in psychology or a related discipline, or a diploma in behavioral sciences.
  6. Police Vulnerable Sector Check or the capability to obtain one.

Job Type: Part-time

Compensation: Starting at $29.00 per hour

Anticipated Hours: 10 – 20 hours per week
