About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at the Geneva Centre for Autism. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Delivery: Implement behaviour management programs and assist clients/guests with special needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our programs.
  • Client Support: Provide support to clients and their families, promoting a client-focused approach.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate and CPR Certificate.
Work Environment

Our work site is located in an urban area, and we are a community agency providing social services. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will be working in a noisy environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

A criminal record check is required for this position. You will also be required to provide your own transportation to and from work.

Language and Work Conditions

This is a temporary position, working 1 to 24 hours per week. The work language is English, and you will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
