Payroll Operations LeadWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Operations Lead to join our team in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and best practices, as well as experience managing a team of payroll professionals.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all payroll transactions for hourly and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal payroll regulations.
- Manage a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Human Resources and Finance, to ensure seamless payroll processing.
- Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.
- 5+ years of experience in a payroll management role, preferably within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of payroll professionals.
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and best practices.
- Proficiency with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Workday).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- CPA or PLP designation is an asset.
