Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Manager to join our team at Samsung. As a key member of our People team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of best-in-class payroll practices, policies, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process payroll for over 800 salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Manage payroll onboarding and offboarding for expatriates, including tax consultations and international tax equalization.
  • Administer and maintain benefits, including health and welfare programs, STD, LTD, Flexible Benefit Plans, and RRSP/DPSP/TFS/NRSP.
  • Provide support for pension and benefits programs, including year-end projects, audits, and annual renewals.
  • Collaborate with the Shared Services Center and payroll vendor Ultimate to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of payroll legislative changes, trends, and best practices to ensure Samsung Canada remains compliant and up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years of payroll experience, with 3-5 years in employee benefits and pensions.
  • CPM (Canadian Payroll Manager) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of UKG Payroll, Workday, and UKG Dimensions Pro preferred.
