About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our data governance initiatives and contribute to the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a clear vision and strategic direction for data governance initiatives.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve high standards and adhere to data governance best practices.
  • Communicate complex data governance concepts to various stakeholders, including technical teams and business users.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where departments work together towards common data governance goals.
  • Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging data governance technologies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Contribute to multiple data governance projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance, or other quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, especially in data manipulation, automation, and analytics.
  • Shell Scripting skills for automating administrative tasks and data processes.
  • Deep understanding of both relational (SQL Server, Oracle) and non-relational databases (NoSQL, MongoDB).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in at least one ETL tool such as Informatica, Talend, or Microsoft SSIS.
  • Experience with setting up and managing metadata repositories.
  • Familiarity with implementing metadata standards and frameworks to maintain data quality and governance.
  • Cloud Platforms: Proficiency with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for scalable data storage, processing, and analytics solutions.
