Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Operations Specialist to join our global payroll team based in Austin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the accurate, effective, and timely processing of payroll for our Americas region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for our Americas region, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax laws.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze payroll inputs, including payroll journals and GL files.
  • Partner with our Payroll Lead to recommend new approaches and policy changes to improve payroll processes.
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll inputs to our third-party payroll provider.
  • Develop and maintain robust and detailed processes to ensure efficient and effective payroll execution.
  • Provide input on team goals, KPIs, and process improvements to optimize our payroll team's performance.
  • Collaborate with our Global Payroll Team to ensure compliance with local payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes affecting payroll and provide support to the team as needed.
  • Complete and respond to regulatory agency inquiries.
Requirements
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a high-growth company.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems, including Cloudpay.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with the team.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Collaborative and detail-focused, with a passion for building strong relationships and driving process improvements.
