Project Coordinator: Handle with Care Program Manager

Job Summary: The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to lead the Handle with Care program. This is a full-time position that requires a strong leader and champion of the program, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Handle with Care program, ensuring its integrity and alignment with the ECDA's mission and values.
  2. Collaborate with ECDA staff members to achieve program goals and objectives.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  4. Coordinate facilitator gatherings and professional development opportunities.
  5. Manage program data, including collection, analysis, and presentation of results.
  6. Develop and implement an annual program calendar, ensuring timely delivery of programs and services.
  7. Review and approve grant applications and payments to programs.
  8. Chair and report to the Handle with Care Advisory Committee.
  9. Ensure adherence to firm deadlines and meeting deliverables outlined in contractual agreements.

Requirements:

  1. Degree or diploma in a field related to working with children and families.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and families.
  3. Valid driver's license and clear criminal record check.
  4. Project management experience and Handle with Care facilitation (an asset).

Benefits:

  1. Hourly wage range: $30.00, commensurate with experience and education.
  2. Full-time contract with possible 1-year extension.
  3. Evening and weekend requirements, with travel reimbursement.
  4. Health and dental coverage at 100% by the ECDA.
  5. Coverage for professional development offered by the ECDA.
  6. Two weeks' vacation, five personal days, and ten sick days.
