We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator - Per Diem to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enriching the lives of our patients by leading engaging group activities and providing individual support.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead inpatient hospital education, skills-based, recreational, and activity groups, interacting with individuals both one-on-one and within group settings. Your duties will be assigned by the unit Group Therapy Coordinator and/or Program Director.
  • Provide scheduled coverage for unit staff as needed.
  • Deliver appropriate education, skills-based, recreational, and activity programs in groups and individual modules, tailored to the current interests and needs of patients. These activities should align with the nature of the unit and treatment objectives.
  • Offer ongoing feedback to the Group Therapy Coordinator regarding patient responses to activities and progress. Suggest new activities to the Group Therapy Coordinator, considering the treatment goals of the program and the interests/needs of the patient population.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by following up with staff as needed. Ensure the environment complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Interact positively and effectively with clients, treatment teams, and unit staff.
  • Communicate client interactive behaviors to appropriate clinical staff in a timely and effective manner.
  • Complete clinical documentation and record information regarding clients who attended groups promptly.
  • Participate actively in meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:

We are seeking individuals with a passion for working with patients and a commitment to providing high-quality care. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required. Experience working in a mental health setting is highly desirable.
