Activities Coordinator

McLean Hospital is seeking a skilled Activities Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing a variety of education, skills, and recreational activities to patients on our inpatient units.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate inpatient hospital education, skills, and recreational activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized activity plans, taking into account the unique needs and interests of patients.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Document patient progress and provide feedback to the Group Therapy Coordinator.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and special projects as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and effective team environment, promoting a culture of respect, diversity, and excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or a related field.
- Experience working with clinical populations, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for patients.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
