Job Summary

McLean Hospital is seeking a skilled Activities Coordinator Per Diem to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing a variety of education, skills, and recreational activities to patients on our inpatient units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate inpatient hospital education, skills, and recreational activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized activity plans, taking into account the unique needs and interests of patients.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide feedback to the Group Therapy Coordinator on patient progress and suggest new activities to enhance treatment objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, in-service didactics, and trainings to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Report to a supervisor and utilize supervision effectively to enhance overall clinical awareness and growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or a related field.
  • Experience working with clinical populations, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for patients.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to use electronic medical records and other online systems.
