Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Family Physician to provide comprehensive medical care in a private practice setting. This role involves a commitment to patient health and wellness, ensuring that individuals receive the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Certification from the College of Family Physicians (CCFP)
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Key Responsibilities

As a Family Physician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering medical histories from patients and their families
  • Conducting thorough examinations to diagnose illnesses and injuries
  • Guiding patients in developing healthy lifestyle choices
  • Ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results to determine treatment plans
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to assess patient health
  • Managing practice finances and administration
  • Prescribing medications and treatments as necessary
  • Providing vaccinations and preventive care
  • Offering health advice and education to patients
  • Recruiting and training support staff
  • Overseeing the performance of healthcare team members
  • Reporting health statistics to appropriate authorities
  • Advocating for patient needs and coordinating care
  • Delivering emergency care when required
  • Supervising home care services as needed
  • Performing human resources duties related to staff management
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 staff members across various roles.
