We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician - Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at HealthShare Medical Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and Analyze Patient Information: Gather medical history, symptoms, and other relevant data from patients, family members, or other healthcare professionals to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.

  • Perform Routine Surgeries: Conduct routine surgical procedures, and assist in more complex operations as needed.
  • Provide Preventative Care: Offer patients guidance on healthy habits, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and mentor healthcare staff, ensuring they provide high-quality patient care and adhere to established protocols.
  • Report Health Data: Accurately record and report patient health data to relevant authorities, as required.
  • Advocate for Patients: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care, from initial consultation to ongoing treatment and follow-up.
  • Provide Emergency Care: Respond to emergency situations, providing timely and effective care to patients in crisis.
  • Offer Counselling and Support: Provide patients and their families with emotional support, guidance, and resources to address a range of health and lifestyle issues.
  • Supervise Home Care Services: Oversee home care services, ensuring patients receive the necessary support and care in the comfort of their own homes.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in family medicine or a related field.
  • Certifications: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP), Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC), and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
